Everyday people send out messages using their smartphone. Encountering problems with a non-popular brand unlike Samsung and iPhone, you can still recover deleted messages even if it’s a Huawei smartphone.
Recovering data is easy, no need to go to its service center just to retrieve any data but the downside is all data that they can find they will retrieve it. You can’t select which file to retrieve.
You can do it on your own at your home as long as you have a computer and an Android data recovery software (Wondershare Dr. Fone).
To recover, follow the steps below.
Make sure you are able to sync your Huawei 8 Pro to your computer or laptop. Avoid using any Android management software or any deletion of data (messages). This is to ensure the files deleted won’t be overlapped by the recently deleted data files.
Click the “i” icon if you can’t connect your device. In this step, you’re mostly able to connect your smartphone to your computer.
The model of your Huawei will be detected and you need to turn on your USB debugging mode in the settings. Enter the settings, go to the application, click development then lastly turning on USB debugging mode.
The Huawei 8 Pro is on Android 7.0 Nougat. In this step, most likely you will choose the third tab which is for Android 4.2 or higher.
Click Next button.
Options will be displayed for you to choose (messages, gallery, videos, and Whatsapp messages). In this tutorial, we are going to choose Messaging since we are trying to recover messages only.
Every person who has issues in deleted or lost messages, this is the most practical method used. The reason is you’re only going to recover recently lost or deleted messages.
In the standard mode, choose the first one as shown below
The 2nd option is to scan all files, this will take more time. The advanced mode is for files that can’t be detected when standard mode can’t detect lost files when scanned.
Wondershare Dr. Fone will now scan for the option you selected. The lost messages will appear one by one and after the scan, select the messages you want to recover.
Click Recover button.
As you can see the number counter beside messaging, it’s the number of files that can be retrieved.
If you think you have lots of messages to retrieve, try to register your software.
Just in case you forgot a file to recover, you can redo the steps again. Be sure to check again the battery life for the second time around.
Was the recovery process easy?
